1. What were your aspirations when you first came to CareerDNA?
When I first came to CareerDNA, my biggest aspiration was to shift from commerce to science and pursue my dream of becoming a
nutrition student. I wanted to find a path that would allow me to study Food Science and Nutrition Management despite coming from a
commerce background.
2. Were there any dilemmas or turning points on the way?
Yes, the biggest dilemma was that no colleges were offering a commerce student the opportunity to get into science. The turning point was
when, under Neeta Nahata ma’am’s guidance, I discovered that J D Birla Institute had a program that would allow me to pursue my dream.
3. How did your family view or support your choices?
My family was very supportive throughout the journey. They trusted my passion for nutrition and always encouraged me to follow my interests. Having their support gave me the confidence to take this leap and change my stream.
4. What did you discover about yourself during graduation?
During my graduation at J D Birla Institute, I discovered that I could adapt and grow beyond my comfort zone. Even though I came from a commerce background, I learned that with determination and the right guidance, I could excel in a completely different field. I also realized
how much I truly enjoy the science behind food and nutrition.
5. How did CareerDNA play a role in your journey?
CareerDNA played a major role. Under Neeta Nahata ma’am’s guidance, I not only got into my dream course, B.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition Management, but also learned and grew a lot over the years. For my Master’s, ma’am again guided me and suggested some great colleges. Because of her advice, I was able to clear the interview and get into Symbiosis International University, Pune. Ma’am is always so helpful and gives the best advice. She even picks up my calls when she’s busy, which shows her dedication to her students.
6. What are you currently pursuing, and what’s your career goal now?
I am currently pursuing my M.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics at Symbiosis International University, Pune. My career goal is to become a successful nutritionist who can make a positive impact on people’s health and lifestyle through scientific and personalized dietary guidance.
7. One message or learning you’d like to share with younger students:
Follow your passion, even if the path seems unconventional. With the right guidance and determination, you can achieve what you dream of. Don’t be afraid of shifting streams or exploring something new-you’ll discover your true potential along the way.
